Ellison Gray
Principal

Ellison Gray founded The Gray Group, an employee benefits marketing and consulting organization, in 2004. With over 20 years of experience in the employee benefits field, she has a comprehensive knowledge of the insurance product and an unparalleled understanding of client needs and service. She handles the management and administration of complete employee benefit consulting solutions for group benefits, voluntary benefits, health insurance, dental insurance, worksite payroll deducted products, and reinsurance.

Ellison began her career in the insurance industry in 1993 at United Healthcare large group sales and in 1996 she joined a large regional brokerage firm as an employee benefits broker. In 2001 and in 2002 she was awarded the organizations highest performance awards and was promoted to Vice President. In 2004, she decided to take her expertise and experience to clients on a more personal and flexible level and established The Gray Group.

Ellison has been a member of the Alabama Association of Health Underwriters. She graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Bachelor of Science in Finance (http://businessdegrees.uab.edu/finance-degree/bachelors/) . She is a member of Saint Mary’s Church, is happily married and has two children.

Julie Smith
Marketing Manager

Julie Smith is the newest member of The Gray Group after joining the team in 2013. With more than 15 years of experience in accounting and marketing, she brings an eye to detail as well as a creative approach to marketing and customer service. As a dedicated account manager, Julie manages the day to day administration needed to successfully service our client’s needs. Julie holds a Master of Business Administration degree with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Cumberland College.
